Grassland  : Grassland are dry and windy. They get moderate rains.

Adaptations For Grass Land –

Plants - Following are the adaptations shown by plants in grass land

1.  Grass land plants usually have flexible stems, which bend instead of breaking when the wind is strong.

2.  Plant has narrow or tiny leaves to reduce water loss.

                          

Animals- Animals in grassland show the following adaptations :

Most grass land animals are able to run very fast which allow them to escape their predators. The grass found in dry grassland is brown in color.

Carnivorous animals like lions and tigers live in these forest. They get there food by killing the other animals lie deer.

                       

Lions have following adaptaions to survive in a forest:

1. They have eyes inthe front that help them to see the prey froma great distance.

2. They have sharp teeth and long claws in their front legs to catch and tear the flesh of there prey.

3. Their light - brown colour helps them hide in dry grasslands, when they hunt for there prey.

4. They are able to run very fast that allows them to catch the prey.
